Ascot Appoints Mike O'Connor

LONDON, 1 June 2009 - Ascot Underwriting is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike O'Connor to lead our Terrorism and Political Violence team.

Mike has 14 years experience in the insurance industry, most recently at RK Harrison where he set up the specialist Terrorism Unit within the Political Risks Division, and created one of the leading Independent Terrorism books in the market. Prior to that Mike was with Marsh gaining experience in Construction and Terrorism coverage.

David James will continue in his role as practice leader. David said, "I very much enjoyed working with Mike while he was a broker and am confident that his extensive experience will further enhance our market-leading team."
