Ascot senior staff appointments

LONDON, 26 June 2009 - Ascot Underwriting is pleased to announce the following changes to its senior staff:

Mark Pepper has been appointed to the role of Chief Underwriting Officer and will join the Ascot Board, subject to Board and regulatory approval. Mark joined Ascot at its inauguration in 2001 to lead our treaty reinsurance team and will continue to do so as part of his new role.

Jon Foley has been appointed Executive Underwriter, responsible for the management of the day-to-day running of our London office. He will also continue to be an integral part of the property and Ascot Renewco teams.

David James has been appointed Executive Underwriter, responsible for Ascot's overseas offices in Houston, Chicago, Hartford, Bilbao and Singapore. David will also continue to lead our London based political risk and terrorism team in his new role.
