Matthew qualified as an accountant in 2000 and joined Ascot at its inception in 2001 as the Financial Controller. In 2005 he moved across to the exposure management side of the business as Aggregate Manager. He was promoted to head up the outwards reinsurance function in 2008, with responsibility for purchasing the syndicate's reinsurance programme.
