Ascot places the highest priority on paying valid claims as quickly as possible, with an emphasis on being fair and even handed. Our Claims Management Model provides for an efficient and effective way of handling a broad spectrum of claims of varying size and complexity, providing outstanding service to our clients.
To achieve this we manage high value complex claims in-house and outsource the handling of routine claims with the aim of getting them resolved quickly and efficiently. Outsourcing gives us access to the best and most appropriate claims handling resources, which are managed transparently through SLA’s including turnaround times, static claims, and adjusting quality.
Ascot has invested heavily in an expert in-house adjusting team to manage the resolution of high value complex claims. This team works closely with our Underwriting, Legal and Executive teams to ensure that Ascot is consistent and accurate in the determination of claims, which makes a significant difference to clients when it matters most.

Neil Dalton is Ascot’s Director of Claims. After training as a lawyer Neil began his insurance career in the Lloyd’s market in 1990. He joined Ascot in 2007 and is also a Director of Ascot’s International Offices and a member of the Lloyd’s Market Strategic Claims Group.
