Ascot takes to the track at Silverstone

In June Ascot hosted its first track day, treating our guests to the thrill of getting behind the wheel on one of the world's great race tracks.

Using the services of racing team 360 Racing, Ascot and our guests got to experience driving both road cars and a LMP-style racing car on the new F1 Silverstone circuit. We also had passenger rides in the Ascot-sponsored V8 engined racing car.

The weather could not have been better and with fortune shining on us we were able to get everyone out on the circuit. Within a couple of hours everyone felt ready to keep the right foot planted for a lot longer and the racing line became second nature. Following a pause for lunch it was back on the track in the 360 Racing car and everyone was able to put what they had learned to good effect.

The experience of driving a high down force racing car that accelerates from 0-60 in 3.1 seconds was certainly unique to most and the day proved a winner.
