Team 2012 Shooting Day

Through our support for the Team 2012 programme Ascot had the privilege of hosting an action-packed day at the National Clay Shooting Centre, Bisley Camp, along with representatives from British Shooting and Team 2012.

On arrival British Shooting team manager and coach Sarah Daly welcomed the group and gave them an overview of the sport, recent British Shooting achievements, and the plans for London 2012. Then the group was given the opportunity to practice shotgun, rifle and pistol shooting on Bisely's world-class ranges.

Other highlights of the day included a Trap display by GBR Trap Shooter and Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Aaron Heading, a Skeet and Double Trap display by David Dale, an air pistol session coached by GBR Head Pistol Coach Tom Redhead, an air rifle session coached by GBR disabled shooter Mandy Pankhurst, and a .22 rifle session coached by NSRA Coach Simon Jarmin.
